Security Supervisor

The Marriott Marquis New York is seeking for a Security Supervisor to join our team. The Security Supervisor is in charge for supervising the day to day security operation and make sure about the safety and security of all guests, residents, employees and property. 

This role includes risk, loss management of the property, as well as taking a lead in Work place safety and life/fire safety systems, preventing situations that could jeopardize the safety and operation of the hotel.   

Check on the shift safety & security procedures, making sure that adequate patrol patterns and frequencies are maintained to keep the safety and security of guests and associates 

Also should look for checking all fire, life safety equipment has remaining  expiry limits.

Make sure that prompt reporting of maintenance issues by safety & security officers as they record them during their patrols. 

Perform random bag inspections of associates coming and leaving the building. Check asset removal policy is adhered to, to avoid hotel assets being deleted from the hotel without the actual authority 

Keep perimeter patrols on points of entry and egress to check that everyone in the hotel environs have a real purpose and are not loitering or are present for other reasons. 

Daily attend to the area where guests are available and make sure that guests feel comfortable and secured. For examples, welcome guests at the club lounge, hold doors at the entrance, assisting with deliveries when necessary 

Perform appropriate action to find solution for guest complaints. Talk with guests in a good manner, which shows goodwill, trust and satisfaction 

Start action to solve a hazardous situation and notify supervisors of potential dangers 

Our ideal Security Supervisor: 

Our ideal Security Supervisor candidate will have strong leadership and communication skills and good problem-solving expertise. Applicants should have 2years of experience of public or private security in a supervisory/managerial capacity. Applicants also are required to have a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
